La Nova held a 1-0 lead for two minutes of the first period until Garren Reisweber took over the game. Reisweber scored a natural hat-trick in the remaining nine minutes of the first period, with Matt Mesi assisting on all three goals. Mesi had an impressive night on the score-sheet as well, scoring six points (1G, 5A).
After giving up a two goal lead, Mesi broke open the 3-3 tie from who else, but line-mate, "Ranch-Hand" Reisweber. Visualeyes did not look back after Mesi's goal, and dominated offensively for the remainder of the game. Reisweber added two more in the process, his 24th and 25th of the year, followed by goals from Donny Borsuk, on a quick wrist shot from his off-wing, Dust-Pan Dunnigan finishing in front on Robert Simpson pass, and T.J. Cooper with a spectacular back-handed one timer from Mesi and Reisweber.
After his seven point night, Reisweber gave the key to his performance. "I ate a massive meal from Ted's one hour before puck drop."
Reisweber's order was as follows:
1 Hot Dog with ketchup, mustard, and a pickle.
1 Cheeseburger with Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise and Ketchup.
1 Large French Fry with a side of cheese.
1 Large Chocolate Milk Shake.
Visualeyes character and dynamic shined Wednesday night when Andy Valint and Bob Simpson were asked to drop back on D in place of the injured Bellows (upper body), Crowe (upper body), English (lower body) and excelled on the back end. "I really think our team toughness really showed up and answered the bell when marble mouth 19 ran Bob "INSANITY" Simpson and baby Roy took a late shot on Baudo. We showed them we can out skate, out score, and out muscle them." said Valint.
Visualeyes 9-6 win over La Nova improved their record to 14-9-2.
