Schottke Leads the Way into Postseason

Schottke Scores 3 in 51 seconds in 11-4 Win over UBSDM
Eric Schottke scored his league leading 35th, 36th and 37th, all in one shift to help Team V floss UBSDM 11-4 in the regular season finale Tuesday. Not to be out done by Garren Reisweber's natural hat-trick last game against La Nova, Schottke buried three in a row on assists from Jeremiah Crowe, Bob Simpson, Matt Baudo and Andrew Valint within 51 seconds of each other in the first period.

After Schottke's outburst late in the first frame, Adam Bellows buried his 15th of the year, leading all Team V defencemen in scoring. Visualeyes finished the first period with 4 unanswered goals, after Baudo only let one puck past him early on in the first on a two on one.

Visualeyes' offensive motor continued to run at high speed in the second period, when Ryan Donnelly, Andy Valint, Max Bonito, Garren Reisweber and Bob Simpson all pitched in with a tally. Reisweber added two more in the last period of the regular season to notch his second hat-trick in as many games to give Visualeyes the 11-4 victory over the UB School of Dental Medicine.

Team V finished the season with 3 straight wins and a record of 15-9-2, earning 4th place in the division. Visualeyes' first round match-up will be a rematch of last year's EMHL finals in which they lost to La Nova, formerly, Third Street Tap Room.

Visualeyes went 2-1-1 vs La Nova this season, dropping the first game in a shootout, the next game in regulation 7-6, and winning the final two meetings of the season. This first round EMHL match-up should be a real treat for fans as the puck drops Tuesday, March 26th at 8:50 PM.
