Visualeyes Sweeps Peace Frogs in Weekend Series

STEADY STANEK READY FOR THE RUSH
Team V was firing on all cylinders Friday night, romping the Peace Frogs 14-4, to capture their first win in the month of October. They knew the task would be much tougher Sunday night though, and only won 5-2, to sweep the home and home series.

The call up of Derrick J. Stanek and the return of Bob Simpson-Corigliano proved to be the jolt the team needed to turn the losing streak around. An outburst of scoring, where every player on Team V recorded a point started off of the hot stick of Max Bonito. Bonito finished up with 4 goals and 3 assists to lead the team. The team's leading scorer, Duff Dunnigan knocked home his second hat-trick of the season, while not to be out down, Garren Reisweber recorded a hat-trick as well. "This was a great weekend for Team V. We got a couple of much needed wins. A bunch of the guys did some work on the score sheet. We were able to celebrate a good deal over the weekend, maybe that's why we had a bit more difficulty Sunday night. But, we prevailed. The team dominated on and off the ice this weekend, its a great time to be on this club." said Ryan Donnelly after netting his first goal of the season over the weekend.
"HAT-TRICK DUNNIGAN"

Zack Edwards back-stopped both wins for Team V.

Visualeyes knew the Peace Frogs would be skating a bit harder Sunday evening after the whooping they got Friday night. They weathered the storm early on, and held on for the W, on big goals from Adam Bellows and Matthew Mesi. Donny Borsuk was happy with the outcome Sunday, "For a Sunday night game, you have to like the results. Simpson seemed to be struggling to find the net, but his chances were plentiful. He has a new stick order on the way so when the new lumber gets in, look for different results."

ANDREW "CPM" VALINT

Andrew Valint played a key role in the win Sunday night, dropping back to defense, sacrificing his 4 game scoring sheet. His selfless play in the defensive zone helped secure the 5-2 victory. "I think this weekend really pulled the defending champs together. Sometimes it takes some adversity to get a cohesive unit. Lets pull together and keep up the winning ways." said Valint.
