An unforgettable winter storm was scheduled to hit Buffalo Tuesday night which forced schools and businesses to close ahead of schedule, yet never showed. There was one storm that hit Buffalo hard Tuesday though, and that was Team Visualeyes' offense in the 2nd period against the Blue Jackets. After a sloppy first period, Team V exploded for seven goals in the second period, eventually dropping the Jackets 11-7 in EMHL action at Buffalo State Arena.

"We were all 6's and 7's out there for the first period without our coach, but really pulled it together when Robby Simpson-Corigiliano (Tonawanda) reminded us to keep things simple, and the rest will fall into place." said rookie blueliner, Duff Dunnigan (Getzville). Simpson-Corigliano took his own advice, piling in 4 goals Tuesday night, leading Team V to victory. Simpson netted his 30th point of the season, tying him with Dan Brown (Lancaster) for second place on the team in scoring.

SIMPSON NETS 4, YET STILL P.O'D |
Simpson-Corigliano's infatuation for perfection was evident after the game, even after winning by four goals. "Some players on the back-end (Duff and Donz) need to be talked to about their selfishness. They join the rush every play and then stay below the opposing goalie forever. It's the worst display of "D" I have seen in a while. Our coach better say something because if he does not, I will, and that is not a good thing. On a side note, Donny Borsuk (West Seneca) seemed frustrated about the amount of votes he received in the all star polling, stating "I only received one vote, and I voted for myself!" "
The team's leading scorer, Eric Schottke (Tonawanda) didn't shy away from the score-sheet either, also popping in four goals and three assists. Schottke's 38 points on the season puts him in a three way tie for third place in the EMHL scoring race.
With a game in hand, and heading into the final 8 games of the season, Visualeyes sits in second place of the EMHL, trailing league leader Cozumel by three points. The remainder of the schedule doesn't soften up one bit, as Visualeyes returns to their regular "A" division schedule.
