Visualeyes Dominates to Earn 4th Straight Win

In their second B league crossover game, Team V blew out Peace Frogs II 12-1. In an effort that saw each player on Visualeyes record a point, team point leader, Eric Schottke led the way with 3 goals and 3 assists while Kevin Rogers knocked in four goals.

“Rogers is like the Tebow of the EMHL, he just finds a way to get it done. Even though his stick is from the early 90’s he still has hundreds of goals left in it. He’s making a strong case to stay up on the big club for the rest of the year. “ said Schottke after the win.
SCHOTTKE LIKES ROGIE, A LOT

While the win came quite handily for the boys in red white and blue, chippy, uncontrolled play was a concern for veteran winger Bob Simpson-Corigliano. “To be quite honest, I think these types of games are dangerous for our guys. That team was getting mad when we passed, mad when we shot, mad when we carried the puck. The commissioner of the league really has to look at these crossover games and ask himself if they are really necessary.”

Matt English-Gunning was more than happy to play anyone Friday, getting on the ice for his first time in almost a month. “It was a great all around team effort, from the goal-tending out. Our D was making fantastic breakout passes and our forwards were burying their opportunities. Personally it felt great to get back on the 200x85. It was nice to have a goal and 2 apples in the first 5 goals of the game and then put it on cruise control for the remaining 30 minutes.”

Recent addition to the V, Mike Denz used the game as a tune-up for his skills. “The nice part about playing b league teams is you get an opportunity to work on some things in a game situation and try some new things you can’t simulate in practice. We’re always looking for ways to improve as the season rolls along.”
