Visualeyes Tops Chef's 9-8

TEAM V WINS 3rd STRAIGHT IN SHOOTOUT

Eric Schottke and Adam Bellows-Morrison each scored in the shootout and Matt Baudo stopped both Chef's  shooters to win 9-8. The win was the farthest thing from pretty, but in the end, they don't ask "how", they ask "how many", and Team V earned their 14th win of the year in the victory over Chef's.

Visualeyes opened the scoring early as "Iron-man" Ryan Donnelly found EMHL leading scorer Eric Schottke. Team V continued to roll when Andy Valint let his dog off its chain and ripped a slap shot over Chef's goaltender's glove on a feed from defensive partner Leberer-Kasperczyk. Valint's double fisted celebration was one for the ages. Max Bonito and Michael Denz knocked in the 3rd and 4th goals for Visualeyes before the team lost focus.

ROOKIE LEADER
Chef's charged back, scoring four un-answered goals before Team V got their act in order. The two teams battled back and forth, yet Chef's held the upper hand on Visualeyes, leading 8-6 heading into the final ten minutes of the game. Kevin Rogers stepped up and scored his 8th of the year from Bob Simpson-Corigliano. Down a goal, Visualeyes continued to push the pace of the game and that paid off when Matt Mesi completed a  beautiful tic-tac-toe passing play from Bonito and Denz to tie the game at 8. Chef's and Visualeyes finished the remaining 5 minutes without scoring, forcing a shootout where Matt Baudo stood his ground, stopping both attempts by Chef's.
