SCALPED!

Visualeyes has Plenty to be Thankful for this Year as Hats Fly for Stanek

Team V went into the long Thanksgiving break by dismantling the Pappas Indians 14-4 in Monday night EMHL action. The well balanced, continuous attack of Visualeyes, proved to be too much for the Indians as the boys in red white and blue earned their 6th win on the season, closing in on first place by one point in the Classic Division.

STANEK SCORES FIRST CAREER HAT-TRICK
The goals came early and often as every player on the V contributed on the score sheet, but Derrick Stanek really proved his worth to the team by scoring his first career hat-trick. Stanek, who was called up Sunday evening from Salt Lake City, Utah, knew his ice time may be limited going into the game as a call up, but earned it as the game progressed. Derrick added pivotal goals in the game, scoring the 9th, 10th and 13th goals for Visualeyes. Stanek also added a helper to finish the night with four points."My grandma made me some venison stew before the game from a deer that my dad killed with his bare hands. Think its just what the Doctor ordered and I was really feeling it out there." added Stanek.

"I told Ricky (Stanek) going into the game that we would get him out on the ice when we could, but after his first three shifts, I knew keeping him on the bench would only hurt us. Before the start of the third he asked me for the green light and I said 'why not, you've earned it kid.' What does he do? Scores 3 goals in 7 minutes. Team V might have to start using some of our air miles on Stanek more often. My only regret was not taking the reigns off of Ricky earlier" added GM Drew Leberer-Kasperczyk.

Other notable point getters against the Indians were team leader Duff Dunnigan with 4 goals (25 pts) and Eric Schottke with 1 goal and 4 assists (23 pts).

"I just think that when you're sitting on two goals and you decide to dish it to your teammate who is also sitting on two, that's what this team is all about." said rookie Michael Denz. Denz found Stanek wide open in the slot, helping on "Pretty Ricky's" 3rd of the night, while he was also looking for his first career hat-trick.

Visualeyes faces of next against UBSDM on Wednesday, November 30th at 10:50pm. Plenty of great seats are still available!
