VISUALEYES GRINDS OUT TAP ROOM

After two periods, it did not look good for Team Visualeyes. Only trailing Third Street Tap Room by a goal, their biggest nemesis was not the score but simply the third period. Outscored 22-3 in the third period over the last two months, Team V had an uphill climb. But for the first time in 8 games, Visualeyes outscored their opponent in the third, coming from behind to lock up a 6-5 victory Tuesday night.

Visualeyes leading scorer, Eric Schottke (Tonawanda), led the way with four points (1G, 3A), assisting on the tying goal by Garren Reisweber (Williamsville) and the game winner from Jerry Crowe (Kenmore). Reisweber notched his second career EMHL hat-trick, showing Visualeyes upper brass the prospect is the real deal. "Donnie Bones" (Don Borsuk-West Seneca) knocked home his sixth 'gino' of the year on a play that summed up the entire game, hard-work.

Valint banged up
Team defense was the real story versus Third Street Tap Room however, not allowing a goal in the last half of the game. Shots were blocked, hits were taken, all in sacrifice for one thing, the W. Andrew Valint (Tonawanda) took a stick to the eye early on in the second period from Joey Try-Hard #8, closing up his left eye, limiting Valint to vision in only one eye.

NEWS AND NOTES:
