Borsuk broke out of his scoring slump, putting in the game winning goal with 8:50 left in the third period, coming from line-mates Eric Schottke (Tonawanda) and Bob Simpson-Corigliano (Tonawanda). Borsuk continued to dominate in the third period, intercepting a cross ice pass, walking over the blue line and letting a clapper go, bar-down. Borsuk finished off the natural hat-trick within just five minutes.
"A lot of factors were playing against us; Sunday night game after a Bills home game against the Peace Frogs. A lot of reasons to stay home and it showed in the first two periods" Borsuk told reporters late Sunday.

BORSUK COMES UP BIG |
"Donny dominated in the third. His effort locked up the game for us. Whatever gave him that energy in the third, I hope he keeps it up " said defensemen Ryan Donnelly (Tonawanda).
"I was especially impressed with "Borsy" last night, whatever he's been eating for a pregame meal has definitely been working" added Duffy Dunnigan (Getzville).
"Before the game I was concerned about "Bors' " pregame rituals. When I confronted him about it, he fired back, "maybe its what I need to get on the score-sheet." Well, "Bors" was right! He was like a different guy out there. It was like a weight was lifted off of his shoulders, I was just happy to be out on the ice with him and contribute a little bit." said Simpson-Corigliano.
"Don looked like he could not only sharpen his comrades skates up on Monteagle Drive for NU, but take the ice with them" Max Bonito told reporters. The game itself started off at a extremely slow pace, finding Visualeyes trailing 1-0 before Simpson-Corigliano tied the score with 48 seconds to go in the first. The momentum seemed to move in Visualeyes' favor after Matt Mesi (Orchard Park) decided to switch sticks. A minute into the second stanza, Mesi went bar-down on the Peace Frogs goalie, scoring his fourth goal of the season. The V's third goal came from the team's leading point getter, Eric Schottke, who undressed both defensemen after receiving passes from Simpson-Corigliano and Jeremiah Crowe (Kenmore) respectively.
Goaltender Adam Roma continues to turn heads around the EMHL, stopping 25 shots. "I give Adam all the credit in the world tonight" remarked Leberer, "our team played awful in our own zone, myself especially. He really kept us in the game and gave us an opportunity to win. I need to reevaluate my game and get ready for Cozumel on Wednesday."
Rookie Jeremiah Crowe is starting to gain attention not only on the ice, tallying two assists Sunday, but also on the bench. Crowe's leadership and drive has been noticed by teammates and gives the troops some added motivation. Player/Coach/GM/Equipment Manager Drew Leberer noted, "Oh ya, when you've got a young guy like that who is so vocal just three games into it, it really brings a fresh feel out there."
