PRE-SEASON NEWS & NOTES

SIMPSON-CORIGLIANO SIGNS EXTENSION

Veteran forward, Robert Simpson-Corigliano, (Tonawanda), signed a three year contract extension on September 15th, ensuring his spot with Team Visualeyes through the 2016-17 season. The terms of Visualeyes' perennial leading point getter have not been disclosed per team policy. Simpson-Corigliano was very pleased with the extension adding, "I love playing here and with the new addition to my family, Walter, I wanted to make sure his formative years weren't being spent with me bouncing around the league."

OFFSEASON ACQUISITIONS
CROWE CRUSHING EAGLES
After a disappointing 2009-10 season, some BIG off-season changes were made. A number of players were released and put on waivers. However, Visualeyes is very excited to announce the new members to the squad. Two were NCAA standouts, Jeremiah Crowe (Clarkson-Kenmore, NY) and Dan Brown (Geneseo-Lancaster, NY). Hopefully these two will be able to play without cages on.

Crowe adds the grit and toughness to Visualeyes' backline that many thought lacked in the playoffs last year. He will also be looked to quarterback the first power-play unit. The highly touted prospect will wear #55, and his jerseys are selling out in record time.

Brown getting "Dangerous"
"Dangerous" Dan Brown spent his college playing days with SUNY Geneseo but has trained hard with Team Visualeyes' developmental team over the past 5 summers. Player/Coach/GM/Equipment Manager Drew Leberer said this of Brown, "The work Dan has put in with Visualeyes up at NU (Niagara University) over the past few summers has shown us that he is ready for the step up to the EMHL."

Also, a soccer player, Duffy Dunnigan (Getzville) will be making the step up from the EMHL 'B' League to join the defensive corps this year. All in all, Visualeyes has upgraded their roster both on and off the ice.
